Blood, urine and faecal sample collection, plus selected rapid tests, carried out in your own home — so a nervous animal isn't handled in an unfamiliar clinic first.
What a home visit can cover depends on your pet's condition, temperament and the test required.
Some samples can be run on the spot; others must be sent to an external laboratory, so results are not always immediate. Certain procedures require referral to a veterinary clinic.
Pet Lovers treats cats and dogs. We don't currently see birds, rabbits, reptiles or other exotic pets.
Stress affects an animal before a needle is anywhere near it. Sampling at home avoids the car journey and the waiting room beforehand.
Pets on long-term treatment that need repeat sampling, without a trip to the clinic each time.
Some samples are simply more practical to collect where your pet normally goes, rather than at an appointment.
Please tell us before the visit if your pet has previously bitten, scratched, escaped, shown aggression or needed sedation at a veterinary appointment. The veterinarian may adjust or stop the examination if continuing would be unsafe.
Any earlier test results or medical records let the vet compare rather than start from scratch.
A list or photograph of everything your pet is taking, since some treatments affect what tests show.
Somewhere calm with good light. Keep cats in a secure room before we arrive; for dogs, have a collar or harness ready.
Sampling normally happens alongside a consultation. Laboratory testing is quoted separately once the vet knows which tests your pet needs — and the total is always confirmed on WhatsApp before booking.
Starting from AED 99 depending on your location. The visit fee is charged in addition to the services provided, except in the packages below, which already include the house visits.
Prices are a guide. The total for your appointment is confirmed on WhatsApp before it is booked.
Medications, laboratory testing and any additional procedures are quoted separately.
Dubai Municipality registration applies to Dubai. If you are in Sharjah, message us and we will confirm what applies to you.
X-rays, ultrasound and advanced imaging can't be done at home. If your pet needs them, the veterinarian will recommend referral to an appropriate clinic or hospital.
Some samples need sedation or restraint that isn't safe outside a clinic. If that's the case, you'll be told rather than the attempt being pushed through.
Home visits are suitable for many consultations and treatments, but they do not replace hospital care when advanced support is required.
A diagnostic visit is quieter than it sounds — most of it is a normal examination, with sampling done where your pet is already settled.

Pet Lovers is not a substitute for a fully equipped emergency veterinary hospital. Do not wait for a home visit if your pet has any of the following:
Proceed directly to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. Do not delay emergency transport while waiting for a home-visit response. If you are unsure, message us with your pet's symptoms and we will advise whether a home visit is appropriate.
Tell us what's going on and our vets will advise what's worth testing, and what it will cost, before anything is booked.
