What a home consultation actually looks like

Assessment of skin, ear, eye, digestive, respiratory, urinary and other general health concerns — examined at home, where your pet is calm enough to be examined properly.
The concerns owners most often call us out for. If what you're seeing isn't listed, message us and we'll tell you honestly whether a home visit fits.
The veterinarian will take a history and examine your pet before advising on anything. If a diagnosis needs tests or equipment we don't carry, you'll be told plainly rather than guessed at.
Pet Lovers treats cats and dogs. We don't currently see birds, rabbits, reptiles or other exotic pets.
A stressed animal at a clinic often won't show the limp, the itch or the behaviour you called about. At home, the vet sees what you see.
Anxious dogs, cats that panic in carriers, and elderly or mobility-impaired pets are all examined without a car journey first.
Several cats or dogs in the same household can usually be seen in a single appointment. Tell us how many and why when you book.
Please tell us before the visit if your pet has previously bitten, scratched, escaped, shown aggression or needed sedation at a veterinary appointment. The veterinarian may adjust or stop the examination if continuing would be unsafe.
When it started, what's changed, and anything that makes it better or worse. Photos or videos help a lot if the problem isn't happening right then.
Previous records if you have them, plus a list or photograph of anything your pet is currently taking.
Somewhere calm for the examination. Keep cats in a secure room before we arrive; for dogs, have a collar or harness ready.
The consultation fee plus the house visit for your area. Medications, laboratory testing and any additional procedures are quoted separately, and the total is confirmed on WhatsApp before booking.
Starting from AED 99 depending on your location. The visit fee is charged in addition to the services provided, except in the packages below, which already include the house visits.

Dubai Municipality registration applies to Dubai. If you are in Sharjah, message us and we will confirm what applies to you.
If your pet needs X-rays, advanced imaging, surgery, oxygen therapy, hospitalisation or intensive monitoring, the veterinarian will recommend referral to an appropriate veterinary clinic or hospital.
If the examination finds something that can't safely wait, you'll be told immediately and directed to an emergency hospital rather than managed at home.
Home visits are suitable for many consultations and treatments, but they do not replace hospital care when advanced support is required.

House visits start from AED 99 depending on your location, and the visit fee is charged in addition to the services provided. A veterinary consultation is AED 150, and most vaccinations are AED 150 each.
Vaccination packages start from AED 450 and include the house visits. The full price list is on our services page, and the total for your appointment is always confirmed before it is booked.
Many anxious pets are calmer when examined at home. Please inform Pet Lovers before the visit if your pet has previously bitten, scratched, escaped, shown aggression or required sedation during veterinary appointments. The veterinarian may modify or stop the examination if continuing would be unsafe.
The veterinarian may carry selected commonly used veterinary medications and treatment supplies. Availability depends on the pet's condition and the medication required. Some prescriptions may need to be dispensed or collected separately.

Pet Lovers is not a substitute for a fully equipped emergency veterinary hospital. Do not wait for a home visit if your pet has any of the following:
